Brad and Brian are the creators and owners of the Drawings Manager system and members of Moose Lodge 499 in Newark, OH. In November 2022, the lodge asked for help from members to create an electronic system to manage their weekly member drawings. At that time, they were printing over 30 pages for each drawing listing the names of their 2700+ members and having to mark each name as they signed up. To select the weekly winners, they used a wire drum containing 2700+ metal tags that they picked from.

Not only was it time-consuming to locate a member’s name in the 30+ page list, but the lodge also had to assign members unique numbers that frequently changed to match the tags in the wire drum. Additionally, they had to track the money in each drawing pool, as well as rollover amounts. This whole process was very labor-intensive for both the bartenders and lodge administrators, and prone to errors due to the manual steps involved and the need to manage member numbers so they matched the tags in the drum.

After extensive development and testing, we launched a fully functional program and since March 2023, Moose Lodge #499 in Newark, OH has been using the Drawings Manager System for all their lodge drawings, and it has been a huge hit!

We are both IT Professionals, Army Veterans, lifetime members of Amvets as well as members of Moose Lodge 499, Elks Lodge 391, Eagles Aerie 387, and the American Legion.
